Volpara

Triage for personalized breast screening:

A set of new, important breast cancer screening tools is now available to women with dense breast tissue. The complete toolset is called VolparaSolutions…an all-software suite that includes: VolparaDensity, VolparaDose , VolparaPressure,VolparaPGMI,VolparaTeam Performance and VolparaRisk assessment.

VolparaDensity: Objective Volumetric Measurement provides critical Breast Density information to ensure patients receive best Breast Care available. Designed to help overcome the limitations of mammography to detect cancer in

women with dense breasts, it is in use at numerous sites around the world to help radiologists assess breast density more objectively and to help them better consider who might benefit from additional screening.

1. Objective Density Evaluation.

2. Patient Stratification in 4 BIRADS groups A,B,( fat breast); C,D (dense breast).

3. Risk Prediction Modeling.

4. Family Risk Prediction.

5. Lifestyle Risk Prediction

VolparaDose : moves away from manufacturer-specific radiation dose estimates to provide a standard mean glandular dose algorithm along with the patient-specific volumetric breast density to give a better estimate of the dose absorbed by the specific breast. The dose measurement can be inserted directly into patient letters on compatible mammography reporting systems and sent to enterprise wide dose tracking systems. Currently, mammography systems generate a Mean Glandular Dose (MGD) based on an assumption of a homogeneous mixture of fat and fibroglandular tissue in standard proportions. With VolparaDose it is possible to improve the personalization of radiation dose estimation, which may, in turn, allow for better optimization of radiation dose in breast screening, both in mammography and tomosynthesis.

VolparaPressure: the SW is giving a measurement of the pressure in KPa because it can calculate the ratio between the force applied by the mammography unit and the Breast area.

In this way I have a quality reference value for pressure between 7-14 KPa avoiding to press too much ,but getting better image resolution.

VolparaPGMI and Team-Single Technologist Performance: This software package assists in quality assurance by monitoring and recording critical elements of the breast positioning process giving the PGMI score The software generates statistical results of the key imaging performance metrics to help understand the performance of the single technologist and of the whole department.

VolparaRisk: the SW is producing the Scorecard+ that includes 3 risk factors: Density evaluation,Familiarity using the Tyrer Cuzick questionnaire and the Transpara Score: CAD SW with AI algorithm that can give a classification of patient risk with a score from 1-10.

In May 2020 Volpara signed an agreement with Ambry Genetics to measure and integrate the genetic test results.
