TRANSPARA: Artificial intelligence applied to CAD (Computer Aided Detection )

The increase in breast cancer cases has made it necessary to develop diagnostic imaging tools capable of “targeting” with greater precision this pathology.. The high number of images generated by technologies like Tomosynthesis  makes necessary to use automatic tools that can assist the Radiologist diagnostic reporting process. Artificial intelligence applied to CAD (Computer Aided Diagnosis ) is one of the most promising tools of application .Through the analysis of millions of images, the Sw Transpara, uing the Deep Learning approach, has “learned” to identify lesions  at the early stage.

TRANSPARA SW as “Lesion Marker”

Simple to use, it indicates to the Radiologist all significant lesions in the images above a risk threshold measured with artificial intelligence. This support is important to not missed information.

TRANSPARA SW as “Triage” with the exam score.

It analyzes each image and automatically provides the radiologist with a score from 1 to 10; the higher the number, the greater the risk of the presence of a major lesions . Very important in screening to organize the worklist based on objective indicators.

TRANSPARA SW as “Interactive Decision Support”

This SW with Its diagnostic accuracy, can be a valid “colleague” in the decision of the type and severity of a lesion and microcalcifications. Especially in the case of DBT it can be the second opinion which is not mandatory in the diagnostic evaluation.

Truly effective clinical benefits in software that uses artificial intelligence

The SW Transpara is the only SW on the market approved by the FDA for both mammograms 2D and DBT. It is simply a virtual machine compatible with the majority of PACS, Worstation and mammography systems 2D and 3D on the market. The data are staying  in the hospital without any remote access for data processing and any  other use. The Dutch team of Screenpoint , a spin-off of the University of Nijmegen is constantly engaged in the search for new applications to expand the already high potential and performing Transpara .For more information:
